The rationale of this project was to mitigate the risks of unrest/violence ahead of Presidential and Parliamentary elections by engaging traditional leaders and the media to promote peaceful elections.
Activities involved were training forums on the law, media ethics and the promotion of peaceful election, production of information, education and communication (IEC) materials in relevant local languages, radio jingles in different languages and also meetings with traditional authorities.
