International Lawyering Internship Programme

This Project involves the exchange of knowledge and ideas on grassroots human rights work through international technical assistance. Foreign institutions or individual students apply for internship placements at the Centre. Most applicants volunteer travel and living expenses to obtain a first-hand experience in grassroots social development. The output of the interns is integrated into the research, advocacy and advisory work of the LRC.

Although tailored for foreign interns, the LRC quite recently has opened up opportunities for domestic/local interns to also have first hand experiences on social justice issues within their communities. In this regard we welcome students from institutions such as University of Ghana-Legon, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Central University, Sunyani Polytechnic and Ashesi University.
