The rationale of this project was to promote electoral justice, resolving political conflict through different legal mechanisms, guaranteeing full compliance with the law, and educating the public on their electoral rights, in order to enable democracy to thrive. The objectives were to ensure civic input in Electoral laws, educate electorates of their electoral rights, to support the judicial system, to educate electoral station officers, and to make the principals of electoral rights more easily comprehensible for the average Ghanaian. The key governance challenges that the project hoped to address are the reforms of the electoral commission and promoting electoral justice.

Expected results were to increase citizens confidence in the Electoral Justice System of Ghana and to empower citizens to identify, report and resolve electoral conflicts,
