Funded by Ghana Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana)
The rationale of this project was to disseminate user-friendly data at grassroots level, on the state of public goods and services across the country as a conduit between duty-bearers and the community at large, facilitating transparent governance, inclusiveness and social accountability. Information on education, health, water, security and the district league table; a simple ranking tool showing national progress toward delivering development across Ghana’s 216 districts through its network of partner organizations and individuals across the regions was disseminated across targeted communities to foster accountability between officials and the people, whereby the two can work together to acknowledge challenges for the local community and take steps to rectify them.
