LRC TAKES PART IN A SEMINAR ON AFRICA TOBACCO CONTROL ALLIANCE
LRC took part in a Seminar organized by the International Legal Consortium (ILC) of the Campaign for Tobacco-free Free Kids (CTFK), in partnership with the African Tobacco Control Alliance (ATCA) and the Ethiopian Public Health Association (EPHA) for a Legal Seminar on Measures to Implement the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 29th September – 4th October 2013. The seminar was designed to increase the capacity of a core group of tobacco control lawyers and advocates within the continent of Africa to create a mutually supportive expert group and network, which will then be in a position to provide support for effective tobacco control nationally, regionally and internationally.
