The LRC operates within its three HRCs in Ghana. These HRCs are in Nima/Mamobi in the East Ayawaso District of the Greater Accra Region; Bongo in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region; and Walewale in the West Mamprusi District of the Northern Region. Within the HRCs, the LRC continued to engage in human rights education, provision of legal services to indigent persons to enhance access to justice particularly for women and children and for persons within the criminal justice system.

This Human Rights City addresses the key developmental issues of the Nima, Mamobi and Newtown communities through a human rights paradigm. To this end, the programme seeks to work for the realisation of the basic rights to health, education, food, housing and work at livable wages. In addition, various groups such as the Mothers Club and Federation of Youth Club formed under this Human Rights City are given unique and specialised capacity building training. Education on their basic rights is given to members of these communities as well.
