As part of LRC’s efforts to ensure human dignity for all and Amnesty International’s goal to abolish death penalty, the Amnesty International’s Relief programme has awarded a grant to the LRC to implement a project captioned; “Abolish the Death Penalty in Ghana now!”
This project seeks to influence the campaign for the abolition of death penalty in Ghana by facilitating the Appeal of at least 5 prisoners on death row whose convictions are questionable.
LRC’s efforts to ensure the release of inmates will show how innocent lives would have been lost if executions still happen. It is important that the death penalty be abolished!
