The LRC is heavily dependent upon grants for funding. In order to be more efficient, the LRC has been working to become financially independent. In 2007, the LRC launched its 10th Anniversary Celebrations and Fundraising Campaign aimed at building an endowment of US$4,000,000. The launch was chaired by the late Justice Modibo Ocran, Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana, and included speeches from the then Executive Director and co-founder of the LRC, Dr. Raymond Atuguba and Ambassador Walther Lichem. The launch was a celebration of all the LRC’s achievements in its 10 years of service and its continued commitment to the people of Ghana.
