LRC PARTICIPATES IN CITIZENSHIP DAY CELEBRATION
The Executive Director, Ms Daphne Lariba Nabila, participated as a speaker in the Citizenship Day Celebration of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE). The day offered a platform for eminent personalities to speak on good citizenship, under the theme “Advancing Together “. Ms Nabila spoke to 400 children in Mattyrs of Uganda Catholic Primary School.
Citizenship day was introduced into the activities of the Commission in 2012. Citizenship Day was set aside to commemorate Ghana’s return to democratic rule in 1992.
Pupils from various schools are asked to be united and live in peace with others. They are also asked to perform their domestic chores, being regular at school, keeping the environment clean and respecting and obeying authority and rules.
