The STAR Ghana Project, “Effective Civil Society Participation in Local Governance for Bongo and West Mamprusi Districts” is to give capacity to the vulnerable in the two districts to enable them participate in Local Governance. The Project advocates for the issuance of frequency licenses to the Bongo and West Mamprusi communities. The community radios are to serve as a tool for the local communities to ensure governmental accountability, transparency and responsiveness as well as grant them their right to information which is key in the country. In addition the project supports persons with disability in assessing the 2% District Common Fund from the Bongo District.
