This project undertook to devise innovative ways of piloting and of getting community involvement in micro-composting as a waste management option in the slum communities of Nima and Mamobi. All community members are involved especially leaders and the Federation of Youth Clubs.

Among the activities sponsored under the project are training sessions for the community such as organic waste component identification and sorting, compost windrow operation and management. The compost materials are identified, separated from non compost materials, prepared and sold to the market.

This project is to generate employment and income for the unemployed in the community especially the youth.
